Join us for coffee & refreshments in the parlor following worship.

Nursery care for children 3 and under is available during the worship service.

Masks are optional.

We continue to provide an on-line recording of our worship services. The service is available on our YouTube channel following the in-person service.

Who We Are

First Presbyterian Church is a loving community of Christ's Disciples and  strive to be a place of hospitality and welcome for all God's people.  We have a rich history of witness and service in Christ's name in the Newton area and beyond, dating back to 1786.  We look forward in hope, trusting that God will lead us just as we have been led in the past.  On any given Sunday you will experience classic worship, vibrant music, thoughtful preaching, and warm fellowship.  Throughout the week, in addition to our church programs and activities for all ages, we host Manna House, Literacy NJ, and serve as an anchor for Family Promise of Sussex County.
